Nonprofit social workers rub poverty with need. The state doesn’t give a damn about them
The state outsources to NGOs a large part of the services it cannot provide itself. They have to be provided at the level, with the required training, etc. But for the same services, non-profit organisations receive less money from the state, or even the regions, than state, city or county organisations. The results of the survey are sobering: the payment of social workers has long been inadequate and insecure, with 44 per cent of respondents taking a gross salary below CZK 30,000 per month.
