Musicians of the Czech Philharmonic will get a raise of up to €500, but they will earn only a quarter of what musicians earn in Western Europe

Czech Philharmonic musicians to receive a salary increase of up to €500

The Czech Philharmonic will increase musicians’ salaries by up to CZK 11,000 per month. Finance Minister Miroslav Kalousek signed the pay increase. The necessary money, about CZK 40 million, will come from the budget of the Ministry of Culture. The musicians should now receive about 40 thousand gross per month.
