Czech diesel returned from Germany, 6 million litres missing
Trains transported 90 percent of Czech diesel from the warehouse of the bankrupt Viktoriagruppe company in Germany back to the Czech Republic; regular shipments ended last week. The last trains will run irregularly, with only the leftovers in the tanks in Krailling, Bavaria, which will be difficult to use up. Pavel Švagr, chairman of the State Material Reserves Administration (SSHR), said. The Czech Republic had about CZK 1.2 billion worth of diesel in Krailling, but after the Viktoriagruppe company declared insolvency it could not get to it for almost two years. Last July, SSHR, the owner of the Krailling Oils Development warehouse and the insolvency administrator signed an agreement under which the Czech Republic got the oil back.
