How is the Czech Republic doing? According to new statistics, the Czech Republic is the 40th richest country in the world, 16th in the EU
Once upon a time there was a country that was neither very rich nor very poor, and that was not growing very fast, but neither was it growing slowly. So might begin the tale of the Czech Republic. Roughly the same thing is reported by the International Monetary Fund in its new statistics. According to the amount of gross domestic product (GDP) per capita, the Czech Republic is the 40th richest country in the world, and among the twenty-seven countries of the European Union it holds the 16th place.
Commentary: When someone claims that the Czech Republic is a rich country but does not talk about the ownership structure, low wages and capital flight, they are manipulating or lying.
