Czech methamphetamine laboratories have been among the world’s top producers for 30 years, attacking even Mexico
Methamphetamine laboratories production facilities shut down in EU
In the Czech Republic, where small-scale laboratories have been closed, 160 illegal methamphetamine labs were detected in 2020 (compared to 234 in 2019), of which approximately two-thirds had a production capacity of up to 50 grams. The reduction in the number of laboratories detected in the country in 2020 is thought to be due to a shortage of drugs containing pseudoephedrine and other substances needed for production in some regions in the context of COVID-19.
