What does an intellectual society look like in the Czechia? Well, about ten percent, and in some places even more, of graduates – especially from private universities – are found to have blatantly plagiarized, copied, or stolen their thesis. The term you use depends on your mood. A recent illustrative example is the newly elected SPD MP Irena Němcová, who proudly holds the title of “engineer” from the private university Sting in Brno.
