Czech drivers don’t follow the rules and don’t care about fines
The Czech Association of Insurance Companies (ČAP) has commissioned a survey among Czech motorists on the feeling of safety on the roads. And the results are questionable to say the least. Although more than half of the drivers do not feel safe on the roads and blame others, they admit to breaking the rules in the same breath. While the points system is an incentive, the fines are low, according to the respondents. The Ministry of Transport has introduced new informative road signs to help drivers keep a safe distance between vehicles. The arrows show the ideal distance.
