The courts imposed fines totaling CZK 130 000 on attorney Monika Forejtová for refusing to testify in a criminal case against her former client. The Constitutional Court has now defended the attorney, stating that maintaining confidentiality is not a right of an attorney, but an obligation. She described the decision as a victory for all lawyers and litigants.
