Government politicians strongly oppose “snooping” Chat Control. Until recently, they were not so hardline
Czech government politicians are today vehemently rejecting the blanket snooping and reading of messages as part of the fight against child pornography and are looking for allies to block the EU proposal. However, a months-old publicly available document from the negotiations on the directive has emerged on social media, showing that in the recent past, the Fial government has not so vigorously opposed the planned directive. It includes a statement from the Czech delegation, which talks about extending the obligation, not abolishing it.
