High-speed trains were counting on an obsolete system. The redesign will be expensive
Railway engineers will have to have the documentation for the first sections of high-speed lines placed in the Czech landscape fundamentally revised. The original materials counted on the obsolete GSM-R mobile system to secure the lines for trains travelling at speeds of up to 320 kilometres. This corresponds to second-generation mobile networks and support for it throughout Europe will definitively end in 2032.
