The billionaires walked away empty-handed. The post office in Pankrác was bought for 425 million by Prague
The state enterprise originally announced an e-auction for the sale of the property in September. Seven bidders applied for it, besides the aforementioned Cream Group, including billionaire Pavel Sehnal and his SPGroup. The sale was divided into three parts – the building, the car park and the adjacent land were sold. The winner was the Cream fund from Zlín, which made the highest bids for all three parts. In total, it offered almost CZK 400 million. However, the Czech Post cancelled the tender and its result after about a week. There were at least six other bidders in the transparent tender, and we offered the highest price. For many days after the official announcement of our success, the Czech Post communicated with us intensively about the details of the contract and the transfer of money. I consider the cancellation of the tender in the context of what we learned from the media to be scandalous.
