Getting rich from the Hamáček era: a woman with no money made 55 million on tests
Monika Jírovcová made the deal of a lifetime last February. All it took was for her company – with no money and no contacts – to get an unprecedented advantage from the Interior Ministry for the purchase of antigen tests. The case of the €10 million contract was investigated by the police for a year. In June, detectives announced that they found nothing criminal in it, even though – as they state in the resolution on the postponement – the ministry of Jan Hamáček (ČSSD) favoured the risky company. And had it not been for the state of emergency, it would have been a case for handing out criminal charges.
