She came into millions of dollars of debt at the age of 11. After 20 years, the courts have now stopped her foreclosure
Last week, the court finally ruled that her immoral foreclosure is over. Thousands of borrowers who came into foreclosure in their childhood, perhaps because of drunk driving or an inheritance that turns into debt, now have a better chance of getting rid of the burden. Jana Čížková from Prague, who as an 11-year-old inherited multimillion-dollar debts from her deceased father, also has an unenviable experience. Last week, however, the courts in her case ruled that it was immoral for children to pay millions of dollars in debt for their parents and lifted the foreclosure on the now thirty-one-year-old woman after twenty years.
