Did the Prostejov men torture the Afghans? Now the police are investigating, 4 people are accused
Last year’s action by members of the Czech foreign military mission in Afghanistan has an unpleasant ending. On Tuesday, the military police intervened at the Prague General Staff and at the Prostějov barracks in connection with the investigation of the death of a member of the Afghan army. The reason for the raid by the 601st Special Forces Group in Prostějov was the interrogation of soldiers who allegedly tortured a captured member of the Afghan army last October. The Afghan prisoner was suspected of murdering Czech dog handler Tomáš Procházka.
