Up to five times the price. City Hall borrows a computer for the election for the price of two new ones
The Czech Republic could save tens of millions of Czech crowns by providing technology for the elections. Specifically, for the computers renting and printers that the electoral commissions need to count and send the votes. These are rented by the individual municipalities, but the amount is then reimbursed by the state. As there is no price ceiling by law, this leads to situations where some town halls pay more for a few days’ rental of computers than if they had bought new ones and kept them.
