The Chinese 6b standard is even stricter than Euro 7. It will come into force later this year. What does this mean for the Czech car industry?
The EU countries have decided that the sale of new cars with internal combustion engines will end by 2035 at the latest. Although this is a highly controversial move in the Czech Republic, it is unlikely to be of much significance in the context of the global new car market. The new Euro 7 emissions standard will be the same. Over the last five years, electric cars have made huge strides, whether in terms of purchase price, charging speed, range or breadth of choice.

Czech Republic in Brussels against Euro 7. Unrealistic requirements in the proposed econorm
“The European Commission is taking note of the Czech Republic’s comments on the new Euro 7 automotive emission standard, the form of which it proposed last November,” said Czech Transport Minister Martin Kupka, who discussed the planned tightening of limits on nitrogen oxides and particulate matter from car traffic with EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton.
