Unique Laurin & Klement surprised with the price. It sold at an American auction for more than expected
One of the three Laurin & Klement Type S2s from 1908 sold for $179,200 (4.27 million crowns). A 1907 Itala 120 HP sold for 31.6 million crowns and a 1908 Mercedes 150 HP Semmering for nearly 197 million crowns. In the former case, it is one of only two examples in existence, in the latter it is the only one produced in the world.
