The woman received a one-time allowance for her children. But the bank blocked part of it
A portion of the one-time child allowance, sometimes referred to as the “child’s allowance”, served as a debt repayment. The bank counters that it did not want to further indebt the client. The woman first fought for the money, then agreed to cancel the account. “The state shall provide a one-time child allowance to the child as financial assistance with maintenance and other personal expenses,” reads the first section of the law governing this year’s emergency benefit.
