Police arrested former MP Šnajdra, charged him over the contract at the Na Bulovce Hospital
Marek Šnajdr, a former ODS MP and an influential figure in the Czech health care system, was caught in the police net. According to LN, he was charged on Monday morning for manipulating contracts for Prague’s Bulovka Hospital. Šnajdr was involved in a case that contributed to the fall of the government of then-Prime Minister Petr Nečas in 2013. Prosecutors allege that in 2012, Nečas, his wife Jana (formerly Nagyová) and former deputy agriculture minister Roman Boček promised Šnajdr, Petr Tluchoř and Ivan Fuks lucrative posts in exchange for giving up their seats and letting the government’s tax package, which they disagreed with, pass. After the package was passed, Šnajdr became chairman of Čepro’s supervisory board.
