State-owned Čepro to pay entrepreneur Zoubek 4.5 billion for Robin Oil petrol stations
The state-owned company Čepro bought the competing petrol station network Robin Oil from entrepreneur Jiří Zoubek, from whom it acquired 75 petrol pumps. It will incorporate them into its EuroOil network, which will now have 285 stations, making it the third largest in the Czech Republic. “The parties have agreed not to disclose the price for the purchase of the Robin Oil network,” said Štefan Fous of the finance ministry’s communications department. However, according to two independent sources close to the transaction, the price reached CZK 4.5 billion. The transaction was recently approved by the Office for the Protection of Competition.
