This giant pothole has become a legend among Brod drivers. It is eternal. It appears several times a year, mostly during winter and spring. Road managers will have it repaired, but the temporary backfilling usually lasts only a few days. Before long, the hole reappears in all its glory. Anyone arriving from Kolín at the intersection of roads 38 and 34 and changing into the right lane towards Jihlava will encounter a hole that could fit three basketballs side by side. The pit is right in the road. Anyone who doesn’t know the place and doesn’t avoid it, will get it. Literally.
