What Czechs still don’t know about the First Republic and especially about Benes
However, the absolutely crucial books edited by them, Josef Kalvoda’s The Genesis of Czechoslovakia and Sovietization of Czechoslovakia and Rudolf Kopecký’s Memoirs of an Old Journalist, subtitled “Against Benes, the Nazis and the Communists”, are not selling well. They are not known, they are not in the biggest bookstores.
