Peter Ďurica before a court hearing in August 2022. He has challenged his dismissal from the Prague City Hall. And after eight years of litigation, he won 13 million crowns from the authority. The capital has got back at the failed sacking of one of Prague’s formerly powerful municipal officials, Peter Ďurica. In January 2011, the then-new mayor Bohuslav Svoboda (ODS) decided to dismiss him in order to cut himself off from the era of his predecessor Pavel Bem. However, Ďurica challenged his dismissal in court and eight years later the courts ruled in his favour, saying he had not been properly served by municipal officials.
