The philatelist Ludvík Pytlíček died. His collection was worth over a hundred million
Pytlíček belonged to the Club 100 de Monte Carlo de l’Elité de la Philatelie, the most prestigious club of owners of philatelic rarities in the world, of which the Queen of England is a member. He also published his rare stamp collection in a book in 2008. The collector had disputes with the Union of Czech Philatelists over suspicion of dealing in forgeries, but the court acquitted him.
