According to experts, the quality and accessibility of health care in the Czech Republic is at a high level. Despite this, however, the average insured person still faces one significant problem, which is the availability of dentists. Then there is one more thing. And that is the prices of dentists. Patients have to pay for many procedures out of their savings or go into debt. Mrs Lenka found herself in a similar situation when her dentist announced her retirement. “My dentist has always told me in recent years that she is still old school, that we will have to get used to the new prices. But I didn’t think about it until she retired,” says Lenka.
