The police union spoke out against Pavel. He shouldn’t have criticized his security detail, they say.
President-elect Petr Pavel should be more restrained in his comments about parts of the police force. The largest police union believes so. The union is upset that Pavel has openly expressed his distrust of the president’s security detail. The security of the elected head of state is now uncharacteristically provided by another police department. According to Aktuálně.cz, the position of the director of presidential security is unsustainable.
