In three years, trust in the police has risen from 24 per cent to over 40 per cent

Currently, 40.7 per cent of respondents have a higher level of trust in the police, while 24.1 per cent of respondents had a higher level of trust in the police prior to the 2020 election. Almost every woman in Slovakia is scared if she walks alone on the street late at night, a survey reveals

Almost a third experience great fear, more than half moderate. Almost every woman in Slovakia (85 per cent) experiences fear when walking alone in the street late at night. This fear affects many women regardless of age or the region in which they live. This was revealed in a representative survey from the research agency NMS Market Research. “Almost a third experience a great fear, more than half a moderate one. This fear concerns many women regardless of their age or the region in which they live,” Denisa Lakatosova from NMS explained. She added that in order to protect themselves, almost half of women prefer not to go out late (48 percent) or not to walk alone after dark (51 percent).
