Instead of enemy territory, it explodes at the muzzle. Ukraine complained to the Czech Republic about faulty artillery ammunition
In the letter, Ukraine complained to the Czech Republic that some of the artillery shells supplied under the Czech ammunition initiative explode prematurely, endangering Ukrainian soldiers and equipment. This was reported by the German newspaper Handelsblatt. “It is every artilleryman’s nightmare: the grenade does not explode kilometres away in enemy positions, but shortly after it leaves the gun barrel. This is exactly what happened to soldiers in Ukraine – with artillery shells, some of which were supplied as part of the Czech ammunition initiative, but also from the US,” Handelsblatt wrote.
