The company was eventually saved by a now unknown hero from the team working on the destroyer Csepel. He was the only one to use his brain and realize basic physics. The dimensions of the shafts and bearings were calculated for the original weaker steam turbines and with the subsequent use of more powerful units, no one thought to rework the concept of power transmission to the propeller! The simple improvement was that the Csepel shafts received a strengthening layer of special nickel steel, the bearing mountings were considerably widened and the propellers could remain original. As a result, the Csepel lost none of its speed, vibrations disappeared completely and bearing wear was not worth mentioning.
