It was not safe for me in the Czech Republic. Fero Fenič went into seclusion
In 2012, after the death of Václav Havel, something broke in Fer Fenič’s life. “I proposed to rename Ruzyně Airport to Václav Havel Airport. And there was a downside. I had no idea that Czech society was so divided. I received several hundred threatening e-mails a day. Twice I received a bullet in the envelope. It all culminated when a man physically attacked me on Národní třída, first spitting at me and saying: “This is for that fucking alcoholic Havel.”
